Rouen France to London UK

It stayed overcast and hazy so we have no good photos of the ferry crossing to Dover and drive down towards Folkstone - maybe next time. We stopped at Samphire Hoe which is where a massive amount of the soft rock material gouged out to make the Channel Tunnel was placed. This became the construction site for the tunnel with the 4.9 cubic metres of 'excavated tunnel spoil' creating 30 hectares of new land. They built a 1.7km long seawall to protect the new land from the sea.
